EUTHANASIA
"Like all vets, I hated doing this, painless though it was; but, to me there has always been a comfort in the knowledge that the last thing these helpless animals knew was the sound of a friendly voice and the touch of a gentle hand."
∼ James Herriott
Saying goodbye is one of the hardest things to do as a pet owner, but take comfort in knowing the last minutes of your pet's life can be in the warm, loving comfort of the home he/she is familiar with. My goal is to provide that "friendly voice and gentle touch" with in-home euthanasia.
This appointment will consist of a very brief examination. The pet will then be given an intramuscular injection of a sedative that normally takes effect within 10-15 minutes. During this time, the pet can be petted and comforted. Once I have determined he/she is sedate, an injection of euthanasia solution will be given into the vein using a catheter. A claw paw print will be made if you would like.
Burial options:
-Private cremation (ashes returned)
-Simple cremation (no ashes returned)
-Home burial
*cremation prices not included in price of euthanasia.

*** I will try me best to accommodate after hours euthanasias, as I feel it is unfair to my patient and clients to have to suffer through the night***
